National History Bee

All Hopkins Junior High Students will have the opportunity to participate in the National History Bee.  The National History Bee is an academic competition for elementary and middle school students that tests knowledge of a wide range of historical topics.

The competition is divided into four stages:

Stage 1:  An intramural qualifying exam administered to all students during History classes on November 27th.

Stage 2: The top 75 scoring students on the intramural qualifying exam will take a mandatory Online Qualifying Exam at school on Wednesday January 10th from 1:45-2:30

Stage 3: The top students from the Online Qualifying Exam compete in one of the thirty-nine buzzer competitions across the United States called the Regional Finals. A local competition will be held at a school in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Location TBD.

Stage 4: The top finishers from the Regional Finals are eligible to advance to the National Finals and compete for the title of National History Bee Champion!
